Adrienne Renee Johnson is a Lecturer in the Department of English Language and Literature at Shirayuri University.
She earned her PhD in Cultural and Human Information Studies in 2023 from the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies at the University of Tokyo.
She primarily works and teaches in the fields of cultural studies, media studies, and gender studies.
Her doctoral dissertation examines subculture within neoliberal capitalism and liquid modernity using the case study of visual kei.
